Hi, When I patched the German translation of lxsession, I forgot the colon. Best regards, Nico.
Suggested advisory: ======================== The updated lxsession package corrects a minor error in German translation. ======================== Updated packages in core/updates_testing: ======================== i586: lxsession-0.5.1-6.1.mga5.i586.rpm x86_64: lxsession-0.5.1-6.1.mga5.x86_64.rpm Source RPMs: lxsession-0.5.1-6.1.mga5.src.rpm

I was about to say it could almost be validated without testing as it's only a typo fix, but actually the rpmdiff shows that the binaries are different. It's likely due to updated libraries in core updates, but just to be on the safe side we could use one test to make sure the rebuild did not introduce regressions.

mga5 x86_64 Mate Before update: $ lxsession ** Message: main.vala:99: Session is (null) ** Message: main.vala:100: DE is (null) ** Message: main.vala:104: No session set, fallback to LXDE session ** Message: main.vala:110: No desktop environnement set, fallback to LXDE ** Message: main.vala:131: log directory: /home/lcl/.cache/lxsession/LXDE ** Message: main.vala:132: log path: /home/lcl/.cache/lxsession/LXDE/run.log This spawns a terminal and reports in a popup: GDBus.Error.org.freedesktop.PolicyKit1.Error.Failed:An authentication agent already exists for the given subject After updating the same things happen which probably indicates that it is working as expected. lxsession-logout works also, leaving the Mate session running but slightly corrupted. Logged out from Mate but could not see LXDE in the menu.

Do you have task-lxde-minimal installed? I don't think lxsession works out of the box without LXDE.
I do have now, thanks. Too tired last night to think.
Logged into LXDE. Fully functional session. [lcl@vega ~]$ ps aux | grep lxsession | grep -v grep lcl 18450 0.0 0.0 271084 6448 ? Sl 08:53 0:00 /usr/bin/lxsession -s LXDE -e LXDE [lcl@vega ~]$ ps aux | grep lxpanel | grep -v grep lcl 18662 0.1 0.3 825520 55996 ? Logged in to an LXDE session in i586 virtualbox and updated lxsession from Updates Testing. Logged out and in again to a fully working desktop. The only difference of any note was the shutdown icon at the far-right of the panel. That switched from the open-door symbol to the red power-switch symbol.
