@daviddavid sorry for the quick update from discussing 2.0.2 but 2.0.3 is now available. I wasn't expecting it until next month but the patches were done much faster so we released 2.0.3 today. http://sourceforge.net/projects/urlget/files/uget%20%28stable%29/2.0.3/ We have a source RPM for Fedora, I'm not sure if it is much help to Mageia or not but here is the link: http://sourceforge.net/projects/urlget/files/uget%20%28stable%29/2.0.3/uget-2.0.3-0.fc23.src.rpm/download Here is the tarball: http://sourceforge.net/projects/urlget/files/uget%20%28stable%29/2.0.3/uget-2.0.3.tar.gz/downloadhttp://sourceforge.net/projects/urlget/files/uget%20%28stable%29/2.0.3/uget-2.0.3.tar.gz/download Reproducible: Steps to Reproduce:
Don't worry Michael about that :) I'll do this new update now with proposed improved description. Also are you one of the upstream developers?

> Don't worry Michael about that :) >I'll do this new update now with proposed improved description. Awesome, thank you! > Also are you one of the upstream developers? Yes, I'm secondary developer for uGet and I'm also the Project Manager so I'm usually the person most everyone talks to for uGet. The head developer of uGet likes to just focus on developing it so I do pretty much everything else.
So ok! done for Cauldron and mga5 too updating uget to latest 2.0.3 release. I'll close bug #12697 to work only on one bug report.

Awesome! Thank you David. I have update the Mageia page on the uGet website to reflect the changes. The site will also auto-check and auto-update the latest version now so once the Mageia stable repo is up to date the website will display that it is. http://ugetdm.com/downloads-mageia
You're welcome! I see an small error in the Mageia page on your uGet website: sudo urpmi.update -a sudo yum install uget better to use: -------------------------- # urpmi.update -a # urpmi uget -------------------------- or: -------------------------- $ su (enter root password) # urpmi.update -a # urpmi uget --------------------------
Thank you for the correction, I have fixed the issue on the website to use the first set of commands instead.
Seems to work OK but reports version 2.0.2 is now available.

Yes indeed, same reports with version 2.0.2 here! Michael, how to disable this unneeded function on the main window?
That is a listing from our blog. I need to make the post about 2.0.3 still. The news banner has an X in it, so just clicking the X for each message will dismiss the messages. The messages only display once per install.
It actually displays each time it's started Michael.
One of the uget developer said me that we just need to dismiss this "Update Message banner" and this same message will no more show again. So for me it is good and I think we can continue to test and validate this update.
Or I can disable, with a simple patch, this Message if you prefer?
Please, do not disable the message system as that is how we send messages to the users. The message system is used more than just version updates so that would be a big negative for us. The Blog will be updated this weekend so those messages will not display anymore once I make the blog updates.
While the message about a new version being available is annoying, should we block the update due to this? I think we should let it go, and just file a bug report about the issue.

This is not an issue but simply an advertising banner for users. If users want to no more show this "Update Message" they must just click the 'X' to the right of the banner for each message will dismiss the messages.
The point is that clicking on the X does not stop the message from being shown, the next time it's started. But I don't consider that to be a blocker for this update.
Also that 2.0.3 hasn't been officially released upstream at this point.
> The point is that clicking on the X does not stop the message from being shown, the next time it's started. It does on every distro I have ever tested it on. I don't see why Mageia would be any different. > Also that 2.0.3 hasn't been officially released upstream at this point. It is officially released, just not a blog post yet. The Source, RPMs, and DEBs are available for download. http://sourceforge.net/projects/urlget/files/uget%20%28stable%29/2.0.3/ I just haven't had time to make a blog post about it but I will do so this weekend. I had planned on doing it last weekend but that didn't work out because I have been having a lot of hardware issues. I hate, no loathe ASRock by the way . . . they make garbage.
Okie Dokie, Thanks Michael. Sorry to hear of your problems. I think, once the blog is updated, the message will probably go anyway. Advisory uploaded. Validating. Please push to 5 updates. Thanks
