There are few programs to manage GPS data in Mageia graphically at the moment. Viking could solve this problem.
Created attachment 579 [details] viking spec file Hello, I attached spec file adapted from Mandriva package. I guess it could help. Cheers.

Assuming this was packaged - is there anyone willing to test?

Looking at http://live.osgeo.org/en/quickstart/viking_quickstart.html, it doesn't require a gps device, just some data to plot on a map. I'll test it, if I can find some sample data, or the format of gpspoint files, so I can make up some data.

I use it quite regularly, but at this moment, I don't have access to my Mageia machine. For anyone else willing to test, here are some of my tracks: http://www.openstreetmap.org/user/rhn/traces If no one does this, I'll test it in my workflow within a week.
viking-1.2.1 is now available in Cauldron core. Please test and report any issues here - thanks. @ rh hn thanks for the link, I will have a play with your tracks ;)
Before attempting to run viking - please make sure that you have installed :- lib(64)gdk_pixbuf2.0_0-loaders-png15 and also make sure that you remove :- lib(64)gdk_pixbuf2.0_0-loaders-png12 Preferably try to do this in one transaction. If these exist together then viking will not work and neither will mcc :/ Hopefully this bug will be resolved soon.
Viking works for me - importing GPX, openstreetmap tiles and graphs. Thanks!
