I'm currently upgrading from 2010.2, and here are some packages problems I got. By the way, the doc ( http://mageia.org/fr/1/migrate/ ) explains how to change the sources, but not how to launch the update... Afin de poursuivre la mise à jour, les paquetages suivants doivent être désinstallés : git-1.7.1-1.2mdv2010.1.i586 (car git-email == 1:1.7.1 est non satisfait) git-svn-1.7.1-1.2mdv2010.1.i586 (car git-core == 1:1.7.1-1.2mdv2010.1 est non satisfait) gnome-shell-2.29.1-8.1mdv2010.1.i586 (en raison du manque de libgirepository-1.0.so.0, en raison du manque de mutter) libgirepository1.0_0-0.6.10-4mdv2010.1.i586 (en raison de conflit avec gobject-introspection-0.10.7-2.mga1.i586) mandriva-doc-Drakxtools-Guide-fr-2010.1-1.0mdv2010.1.noarch (car mandriva-doc-common >= 2010.1-1.0mdv2010.1 est non satisfait) mdvsys-2.1.0-1mdv2010.1.noarch (en raison du manque de perl(Youri::Package::RPM::Updater)) mutter-2.29.1-4mdv2010.1.i586 (en raison du manque de libgirepository-1.0.so.0) perl-SVN-1.6.17-0.1mdv2010.2.i586 (en raison du manque de perlapi-5.10.1) perl-Youri-Package-RPM-Updater-0.5.2-1mdv2010.1.noarch (en raison du manque de perl(SVN::Client)) pylint-0.21.1-1mdv2010.1.noarch (car python < 2.7 est non satisfait, car python-logilab-common >= 0.50.1 est non satisfait, car python-logilab-astng >= 0.20.1 est non satisfait) python-logilab-astng-0.20.1-1mdv2010.1.noarch (car python < 2.7 est non satisfait, car python-logilab-common >= 0.49.0 est non satisfait) python-logilab-common-0.50.3-1mdv2010.1.noarch (car python < 2.7 est non satisfait) (o/N) The culprits were perl-SVN (more recent in 2010.2 updates), and gobject-introspection-0.10.7-2.mga1.i586 (which conflicts with libgirepository1.0_0-0.6.10-4mdv2010.1.i586). I removed/reinstalled perl-SVN related packages (that is: git), and desinstalled libgirepository1 in favor of the mageia package. I think that perl-SVN should be updated in mageia also, and the conflict should be handled as an update.
Le paquetage demandé ne peut pas être installé : pm-utils-1.4.1-3.mga1.i586 (en raison de conflit avec laptop-mode-tools-1.57-2.mga1.noarch)
Did you try just selecting yes for the first part? I think urpmi would have removed those packages and continued with the upgrade. perl-SVN isn't a problem about older/newer package, mdv perl-SVN is being removed as it requires the old perlapi-5.10.1, whereas mga has perlabi-5.12.*. (In reply to comment #1) > Le paquetage demandé ne peut pas être installé : > pm-utils-1.4.1-3.mga1.i586 (en raison de conflit avec > laptop-mode-tools-1.57-2.mga1.noarch) That's correct, pm-utils conflicts with laptop-mode-tools, c.f. bug 290.
Yes, but I don't want git to be removed ! Also, another problem with an old package: le fichier /usr/share/locale/cs/LC_MESSAGES/wxstd.mo de l'installation de wxgtk2.8-2.8.11-4.mga1.i586 entre en conflit avec le fichier du paquetage wxGTK2.6-2.6.4-16mdv2009.0.i586
L'installation a échoué : le fichier /usr/share/java/avalon-framework.jar de l'installation de avalon-framework-0:4.1.4-10.mga1.noarch entre en conflit avec le fichier du paquetage excalibur-avalon-framework-0:4.3-8mdv2010.0.noarc
And I lost the support of my ethernet card.....
(In reply to comment #3) > Yes, but I don't want git to be removed ! > Right :). Probably perl-SVN should be updated in Mageia 1, we'll just have to wait until the mga1 updates repos are open. > Also, another problem with an old package: > le fichier /usr/share/locale/cs/LC_MESSAGES/wxstd.mo de l'installation de > wxgtk2.8-2.8.11-4.mga1.i586 entre en conflit avec le fichier du paquetage > wxGTK2.6-2.6.4-16mdv2009.0.i586 We could add a conflicts against wxGTK2.6, however upgrading a 2009.0 package isn't officially supported (that's a very old package AFAICS); so you'll have to resolve this one manually.
(In reply to comment #5) > And I lost the support of my ethernet card..... Please open a separate report for this issue.
@dmorgan: about the java stuff in comment#4, avalon-framework should obsolete exacalibur-avalon-framework?

FWIW, the perl-SVN issue will be fixed by https://bugs.mageia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1521
(In reply to comment #9) > FWIW, the perl-SVN issue will be fixed by > https://bugs.mageia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1521 Of course this depends on whether subversion will be updated to a new version or just patched.
is this bug still happening?
