Description Jüri Ivask 2015-10-20 15:19:34 CEST
Description of problem:Gwenview does not display certain jpeg images

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):15.08.2

Steps to Reproduce:
1.$ gwenview IMG_20151018_203109.jpg
2.gwenview reports that loading image fails
3.konsole output:
QImageReader::read() using format hint "jpg" failed: "Unknown error"
A bad Qt image decoder moved the buffer to 3610764 in a call to canRead()! Rewinding.
Image format is actually "jpeg" not "jpg"

Images are from my android phone camera.
Also phototonic (another qt5 image viewer) does not display them, but for example nomacs or firefox does not have any problems.

Could it be caused by that the part of the kde apps are still at version 15.08.1?

Reproducible:

Steps to Reproduce:
Comment 1 Jüri Ivask 2015-10-21 19:09:49 CEST
Seems to be upstream Qt bug and according to KDE bug 352912 should be fixed in Qt 5.5.1...
Comment 2 Jüri Ivask 2015-10-26 14:55:09 CET
Seems to be fixed in Mageia Qt5.5.1 update.
Thanks Nicolas :)
