I have laptop with AMD A8-5557M APU (Radeon HD 8550G) and discrete videocard Radeon HD 8750M. When I try to boot LiveDVD image (on a USB stick), it boots up to X an then reboots. If I use EFI boot, I also see garbage on a screen, may be something is broken in videomodes. I can boot the system if I add either nomodeset or modprobe.blacklist=radeon, which forces system to use fglrx video driver. In this case all starts fine, though I still see garbage on the screen during boot in EFI mode. This may be related to #16901. When I boot with one of the options specified above, I see in the xorg.conf different drivers for videocards, as in bug 16901.

I also should note, that Installer DVD (not Live) with EFI boots, but I see garbage on screen (may be something with videomodes). In BIOS mode all fine.
@ nikita Did you see the same in the Mageia 6sta1 isos?

I'll check with the new iso.
I checked and I can't even boot the system with the new iso. Seems like Bug 18322 blocks this one.
Checked with the MGA6 sta2 image in EFI mode. Now boots fine both in Live mode and in installer if I select open-source drivers in the boot menu (default). With proprietary drivers doesn't work though, even when I add modprobe.blacklist=radeon boot parameter.
AMD stopped supporting 'fglrx', so there is no proprietary driver for AMD GPUs in Mageia 6. So I think we can close this as fixed.
