Comment 1 Shlomi Fish 2015-10-03 18:48:41 CEST
Hi Angelo!

You can avoid installing "git-cvs", "cvs" and lots of other stuff by adding the "--no-recommends" flag to urpmi. I don't know why the main git package has a hard Requires on "git-svn" but there may be a reason for this.
Comment 2 Angelo Naselli 2015-10-03 18:57:35 CEST
@comment 1 yes i know, moreover I also need svn to work on our packages :)
but certainly it's odd to need it here. The machine was fresh installed with kde.
I didn't try to install svn only though :D
Comment 3 David Walser 2015-10-13 23:07:43 CEST
Also the cvsps it pulls in is very outdated and possibly should be replaced by something else entirely (see Bug 11976). Maybe something someone would be interested in looking into.
Comment 4 Shlomi Fish 2015-12-05 09:43:37 CET
Fixed in Cauldron. Closing. It may not be fixed in Mageia 5 due to lack of criticalness.
