I propose a bugfix update from Mageia 5's playonlinux 4.2.6 to the latest upstream 4.2.9. Playonlinux 4 is in feature freeze since 4.2.8, so both 4.2.8 and 4.2.9 and purely maintenance releases. Judging by the changelog [1], 4.2.7 also contained most bug fixes and small enhancements to existing functions. [1] https://github.com/PlayOnLinux/POL-POM-4/blob/4.2.9/CHANGELOG.md Suggested advisory: =================== Updated playonlinux package provides upstream maintenance release Since PlayOnLinux 4 is in feature freeze due to the development effort focusing mostly on the upcoming version 5, current PlayOnLinux 4 versions contain almost exclusively bug fixes and translation updates. We therefore provide the latest upstream version 4.2.9. Man pages were also added thanks to our Debian colleagues. This update also adds a wrapper script to use the upstream playonlinux-pkg tool. Testing procedure: ================== - If you're already using PlayOnLinux (/me looks at Stormi), check that there are no visible regressions and that your installed games/applications still work as before. - If you're not using PlayOnLinux, the main "playonlinux" script should start a graphical application that lets you install Windows applications using wine with user-friendly configuration possibilities. You can e.g. try to use it to install the Windows version of 7-zip (not really useful, but at least it's free software ;)).

As this is basically a noarch package (it's actually not noarch just so that the x86_64 package can have fine tuned dependencies on the various Wine versions), and both Alket and me are using it succesfully, I think it could be validated. Not doing it myself though as I'm the packager for this one.
Yes, validating. There are some others to go too but as this has advisory uploaded already.. :)
