Description Luca Olivetti 2015-09-14 19:05:21 CEST
If I try to run the "AMD Catalyst control center" from the K menu nothing happens (bouncy icon that after a while disappears).
Launching it from a konsole:

amdcccle: symbol lookup error: amdcccle: undefined symbol: _ZN9QListData11detach_growEPii

This system has been upgraded from mga4 (where I had the same problem) to mga5.

Reproducible:

Assigning to fglrx maintainer.

Could you test from a newly installed Mageia 5? Or a live USB should be enough if you don't want to install.

It turns out there was an older libQtCore.so.4/libQtGui.so.4 in /usr/share/ati/lib64, once removed amdcccle works.
I don't know where those files came from (maybe a long time ago I used the ati installer instead of the rpm but I don't remember).
What puzzles me is why the linker pulled those libraries, since there's nothing in /etc/ld.so.conf.d pointing to that path.
Sorry for the noise.
