Description Meg Skywalker 2015-09-14 13:53:32 CEST
Description of problem:
Upgrade (auto-update) not possible cause /usr/lib64/rpm-plugins/syslog.so from rpm-1:4.13.0-0.rc1.9.mga6.x86_64 conflicts with lib64rpm3-1:4.12.0.1-22.mga6.x86_64

How reproducible:
urpmi --auto-update

Reproducible:

Steps to Reproduce:
Comment 1 Thierry Vignaud 2015-09-16 12:57:19 CEST
You missed rpm-4.12.0.1-23 which fixed that issue:

"Revision 860239
Modified Sat Aug 1 08:01:05 2015 UTC (5 weeks, 6 days ago) by tv
File length: 22732 byte(s)
Diff to previous 860238
move plugins in main package (preps for 4.13 migration)"

You'll need to use --allow-force to upgrade from 4.12.0.1-22 to
rpm-4.13.0

Since then, we lowered the version of the conflict against librpm (for mga5
upgrade) but this can cause indeed issues for people that didn't
upgrade during the month window with the fixed librpm3

Please use urpmi --allow-force to upgrade from 4.12.0.1-22 to rpm-4.13.0
Sorry for the temporary Cauldron issue

Comment 2 Meg Skywalker 2015-09-29 15:54:24 CEST
Datei /usr/lib64/rpm-plugins/syslog.so aus der Installation von rpm-1:4.13.0-0.rc1.10.mga6.x86_64 kollidiert mit der Datei aus dem Paket lib64rpm3-1:4.12.0.1-22.mga6.x86_64

Conflicts again.
Comment 3 Thierry Vignaud 2015-09-29 15:58:22 CEST
As stated above, this cannot be fixed in Cauldron without breaking upgrade from Mga5.
So you need to use "urpmi --allow-force" to upgrade from 4.12.0.1-22 to rpm-4.13.0
Comment 4 Meg Skywalker 2016-01-12 16:48:03 CET
Or simply remove lib64rpm3?
