Description Hans Micheelsen 2015-08-29 09:03:37 CEST
On updating with "urpmi --auto-update" I got an error installing lib64svn0-1.8.14-1.mga5.x86_64.rpm. It says:

installerer lib64svn0-1.8.14-1.mga5.x86_64.rpm subversion-1.8.14-1.mga5.x86_64.rpm fra /var/cache/urpmi/rpms
Installationen fejlede: lib64svn0 = 2:1.8.13 is needed by (installed) perl-SVN-2:1.8.13-4.mga6.x86_64
subversion = 2:1.8.13-4.mga6 is needed by (installed) perl-SVN-2:1.8.13-4.mga6.x86_64

(I hope you can use this semi-danish error message. The important is clear I guess)

Seems the mirror you are using was/is not fully synced...

a matching perl-SVN-1.8.14-1.mga5.x86_64.rpm is available in updates

Hej! I'm glad to see we have actual Danish users, I was feeling a bit alone doing the Danish translation for isodumper :)
Note that in such cases, you can get the output in English by setting LC_ALL=C, e.g.: "LC_ALL=C urpmi --auto-update"
Comment 3 Hans Micheelsen 2015-08-30 08:38:33 CEST
It seems that I have an unstable system due to some short unsuccessful experiments with cauldron. Therefore I have several broken dependencies where packages rely on newer versions that are available in Mga5. I found the perl-SVN2:1.8.13 in my repository and tried install it, But in vain due to broken dependencies. Therefore I uninstalled and could eventually update subversion.

I guess the best would be to reinstall my system or switch Cauldron.

Thanks to Thomas for the advice on LC_ALL. That will be helpful in the future when reporting bugs
