Humm there's no issue in that log. You still cannot install libreoffice? Can you send me by email (if it's too big to attach which sadly is often the case) the file bug16466.tar.xz resulting from running the following commands as rooot: urpmi --test libreoffice -vv --debug --bug bug16466 tar cfa bug16466{.tar.xz,}
Created attachment 6889 [details] Result of urpmi --test libreoffice -vv --debug --bug bug16466 This is saying that urmpi data base is locked however I have just switched the computer on and have not used MCC or urmpi today. MCC and the menu say that libreoffice suite is installed. I have just tried to open them from the menu (I normally open them from the document) and I get a fatal error message "The application could not be started. User installation could not be completed" I should have tried that before as I feel it would have helped narrow the cause a bit earlier.
Just tried tar cfa bug16466{.tar.xz,} and got no output at all
Comment on attachment 6889 [details] Result of urpmi --test libreoffice -vv --debug --bug bug16466 You must try again. The Mageia applet was checking if there were updates to apply and for this, it regularly update network media.
Attachment 6889 is obsolete: 0 => 1
Created attachment 6890 [details] results of urpmi --test libreoffice -vv --debug --bug bug16466 note I had to change bug number to get output
No output from tar cfa bug16466{.tar.xz,} or from tar cfa bug16467{.tar.xz,}
As you passed "--but bug16467" to urpmi, you should rename the directory: mv bug16466{,.old} mv bug1646{7,6} tar cfa bug16466{.tar.xz,} As stated in comment #4, the "tar" command is not supposed to output anything but generate a debug file that you should either attach to this bug report or send to me by email.
(In reply to Len Taylor from comment #8) > Created attachment 6890 [details] > results of urpmi --test libreoffice -vv --debug --bug bug16466 > > note I had to change bug number to get output Funny.... "not selecting libreoffice-4.4.2.2-4.mga5.x86_64 since the more recent libreoffice-4.4.2.2-4.mga5.x86_64 is installed" and all the scrambled words/package names in the attachment Anyway, I assume this report can be closed?
