Description of problem: If destination root partition is mounted before installation, installer unmount it and install into /mnt/install. After copying files i see the following error: "Unable to copy files to new root". Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): Mageia 5 LiveDVD KDE4 x86_64 How reproducible: Always. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Start installation. 2. Use custom disk partitioning. 3. Create root partition. 4. Click on "Format". 5. Click on "Mount". 6. Proceed the installation. Sorry for the very late reply, BugSquad could use some more members. If you can reproduce this when installing from live mode, too, then please run as root journalctl -ab > journal.txt after you did those 6 steps, but before rebooting. And then attach journal.txt to this report (you can compress it with xz if it's big: xz journal.txt and then attach journal.txt.xz )

yes and it works fine. So please only reopen if you happen to reproduce and then: - attach a USB key - go to tty2 - run the "bug command" - attach the report.bug file found on the USB key
