mga5 x86_64 Installed the desktop versions but missed out the devel packages and nvidia-current-cuda-opencl. Installed them after the reboot and will reboot again. Meanwhile: $ lspci -k 01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: NVIDIA Corporation GK104 [GeForce GTX 770] (rev a1) Subsystem: Palit Microsystems Inc. Device 1184 Kernel driver in use: nvidia Kernel modules: nvidiafb, nouveau, nvidia_current nvidia-settings shows that the new driver is in place and everything looks OK.
The GTX 770 drives a 3k monitor via DVI. Repeated the tests on another 64bit machine driving a 4k monitor on DisplayPort. No problems. $ lspci -k 01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: NVIDIA Corporation GM204 [GeForce GTX 970] (rev a1) Subsystem: Micro-Star International Co., Ltd.
