Description Yann Cantin 2015-07-06 18:50:34 CEST
Fresh mga5 install, same thing on previous versions.

Epson GT-5500 scsi scanner (plugged to an Adaptec AIC-7850) is not detected ootb by xsane or drakx or any application because the sg module isn't loaded.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. boot
2. xsane/drakx/whatever : no scanner detected
3. modprobe sg
4. xsane/drakx/whatever : scanner detected

Quick fix :
add sg to /etc/modprobe.preload
