Description of problem: I install WindowMaker on a top of GNOME. It doesn't list any application. I mentioned similar problem in a bug 100. Attachment 76 [details] (https://bugs.mageia.org/attachment.cgi?id=76) has an image. It looks just the same now. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): How reproducible: Just one box Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install Mageia 1 task-gnome-minimal 2. Install WindowMaker WM. 3. Look Applications -> Applications in menu
Test this, as root: su /etc/menu.d/WindowMaker then try again.
That was it. It fixed the problem.

I can confirm that here. After I install WindowMaker using «urpmi windowmaker» start it using startx, and press the right click on the desktop to pop up the context menu, then I get an empty applications menu. I'm not normally using Window Maker however.

This problem should be fixed in cauldron by running a menus update in the post install script. I first thought it was caused by something else, so I hope that first fix doesn't cause any new problems. I don't consider this bug important enough for an official update since it is solved by installing an application with a menu entry, or running the menu update manually as shown in comment 1. In cauldron I updated windowmaker to a new upstream 0.94.0 so if this version fixes some other problem(s) I might upload it as a backport. Closing as wontfix.

I don't see 0.94.0 on a box with backports repositories enabled. It is 0.92.0-26. Btw, I installed WindowMaker on different box. Menu was empty and this bug was closed. I had to find a bug using the search engine. Is it possible to search closed bugs in bugzilla?

Christiaan, maybe reconsider the update ? :) > Btw, I installed WindowMaker on different box. Menu was empty and this bug was > closed.
