I brought this laptop during vacation to another country. Updated cauldron 64 bit on thinkpad R61. After connecting to wifi in apartment and rebooting or resuming from suspend, the KDE desktop just stopped rendering during load (a couple system tray icons half rendered) and desktop is completely unresponsive. One of the icons never rendered is wifi icon. Other desktops are working OK; tried Mate, Cinnamon and Gnome. I created the new user using MCC the normal way, and confirmed: This also happens at first login to KDE4 with a completely new user. Slight difference is that there the desktop is black; background not loaded, maybe due to the time when error locks loading, because the first-time greeting windows is loaded. The login sound is played OK. Using Ctrl-Alt-Fx i can get to the textonly terminals, and i grabbed .xsession-errors, attached next. The power button brings up the normal log out/reboot/shutdown dialog and i can log out, but it takes much longer than usual. Now when back at home, KDE loads perfectly again! Setting version to Mageia 5 only, because we have Plasma5 in cauldron now.

This need be tested in Cauldron Plasma5
No problem in Plasma5, Mageia 6RC
Closing as OLD, since it is a Mageia 5 bug report that was never reproduced and Mga5 is no longer supported.
