Description You-Cheng Hsieh 2015-05-28 09:29:30 CEST
Description of problem:
Install task-plasma-5 removes kde-l10n packages, therefore cause KDE SC applications lost translations.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
task-plasma5-minimal-5.1.2-4.mga5

How reproducible:
Reproducible in non-english locales with KDE-l10n package installed

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Install kde with a non-english locale.
2.make sure kde-l10n is installed.
3.install task-plasma5, note that it asked to remove kde-l10n, which contains translations of most kde applications.

Reproducible:

Steps to Reproduce:

Alright, there're file conflicts so kde-10n cannot be installed with plasma5... So plasma5 + kde apps = no translation for apps.:(

It is better (Cauldron & Plasma5 desktop), but not fully fixed:

urpmi --no-recommends kde-l10n-et
The following packages have to be removed for others to be upgraded:
kio-extras-5.3.2-1.mga6.i586
 (due to conflicts with kde-l10n)
powerdevil-5.3.2-3.mga6.i586
 (due to conflicts with kde-l10n)
task-plasma5-5.3.2-2.mga6.noarch
 (due to missing kio-extras,
  due to missing powerdevil) (y/N)

@ Jüri

yeah, thanks, I saw something similar a few hours ago when trying to install task-plasma5:

The following package has to be removed for others to be upgraded:
kde-l10n-pt-15.04.3-2.mga6.noarch
 (due to conflicts with kio-extras-5.3.2-1.mga6.i586)

Version: 5 => Cauldron

After yesterday's kio-extras update, now here only conflicting package remains powerdevil:
urpmi --no-recommends kde-l10n-et
The following packages have to be removed for others to be upgraded:
powerdevil-5.3.2-3.mga6.i586
 (due to conflicts with kde-l10n)
task-plasma5-5.3.2-2.mga6.noarch

similar here on again another system, when installing task-plasma:

The following package has to be removed for others to be upgraded:
kde-l10n-pt-15.04.3-2.mga6.noarch
(due to conflicts with powerdevil-5.3.2-3.mga6.i586) (y/N)

Of course!

changing version back to Cauldron, without re-adding MGA5TOO, so "RESOLVED-FIXED" won't confuse anyone.

Version: 5 => Cauldron

List of conflicts

I see this error in Mageia 5 with a freshly made installation and I'm not using any Testing or Backport medias.

I just opened a terminal window and logged in as root and typed urpmi task-plasma5-minimal --auto.

Therefor reopening it.

In mageia 5 plasma is not supposed to be installed in parallel of kde4.
