Summary: Program does not start from the desktop menu in LXDE => etherape does not start from the desktop menu in LXDE
Confirmed on Mageia 5 with KDE4, so it's not desktop-dependent.
Summary: etherape does not start from the desktop menu in LXDE => etherape does not start from the desktop menu
Also true in Mageia 4.

Upstream should convert this to use polkit instead of usermode like we did with our drakxtools. I guess there's something you could put in /etc/security/console.apps/etherape that would bypass it asking for a password. It's strange that this isn't working though.

(In reply to David Walser from comment #3) > Upstream should convert this to use polkit instead of usermode Can't we simply replace the usermode setup with a call to pkexec and submit that patch upstream?
