Description of problem: After upgrading my system to the latest glibc to "stable release version 2.18" when I start google-chrome, google-chrome hangs my system and takes me to the login screen. I have tried the other two packages, google-chrome Beta and unstable, but the behaviour was being the same.
did you reboot after installing new glibc ?

Not sure why I was CC'd, but FWIW I can't reproduce this issue.

I'm going to try with another WM with my user for seeing if the error is specific of my Mate installation, After I'll try to do the same test with another user than mine. Regards
Same behaviour with KD4 and my user, and the same with another user and KDE4. Well, no logs, no clues. journalctl doesn't show me anything strange, firefox works fine. It seems that I'm the only user with this issue, and it is no a blocking error. I think I'll can wait for the next google-chrome release. Thanx for your time guys. Regards. Finally proble fixed by ugrading to kernel 3.14.41-desktop-1.mga4 and installing google-chrome Versión 42.0.2311.152 (64-bit) thanx for all
