1° The individual package selection ignores the previous selection. XFCE was selected as the environment to be installed : in the individual package selection list all the environments are selected. 2° When you try to unselect an environment by clicking on the checkbox, a popup shows all the packages that will be installed and you don't want. You must unselect a second time an environment by clicking on the checkbox to have it really unselected (with a popup list of desintalled packages (that have not been installed (!)). 3° When you avance in the selection, all you have unselected before is selected once more ! Unusable !...
Thanks for the bug report. Could you provide the file /root/drakx/report.bug.xz as an attachment ? If you don't have the file, you can switch to console 2 (by pressing 'Ctrl-Alt-F2') during installation, put a floppy in floppy drive or plug a USB key/stick and type: 'bug' then press Enter. It will put report.bug on the floppy/key.

Setting blocker since I think it's the second time I see a report about it (but this one is clearer IIRC), in the hope that we can have it fixed before final. However, this is very late in the release process, so no guarantee about it.

This is more a little design bug which is here since mga3 at least. If a package is selected in the custom list view, all the three is seen as selected even it's not. these png don't really diff http://gitweb.mageia.org/software/drakx/plain/perl-install/install/pixmaps/semiselected.png http://gitweb.mageia.org/software/drakx/plain/perl-install/pixmaps/selected.png (if they are these icon)

That cannot really be release blocker. I think it has been like this since forever

Maybe we could use colors for better differentiate semi-selected & selected cases Maybe the out box color?
like: - a very bold bord/shape for both (un)selected (difference between the two being checked in or not) - gray dashes for semi-selected
Sounds good to me, do you need any help from Atelier on doing the redesign?

I remember having no problem with individual selection in some 8beta. But simply, this rather is for old version.
