Intel thermal-daemon should be included in next cauldron maybe backport it to 5,it monitors and controls cpu temperature works only with intel prosessors.

Fedora src rpm is here so import is very easy.

Imported to cauldron. Now I'd like someone to explain me how to use it : the xml conf file is cryptic!

You don't need to edit nothing it's having quite good default settings,only if you need to change it's default configs then you need to edit xml conf.
But if you need to edit xml config file here is guide for you how to get start to edit it if needed.
