Tested on Cauldron and Mageia 5 RC live ISOs. drakclock shows nonsensical time zones as shown in the screenshot I'll attach in comment 1. All normal time zones are displayed correctly, but then there are also: - iso3166.tab - posixrules - right (this one is a category which contains duplicates for all normal timezones, so you can choose e.g. right/Europe/Berlin) - zone.tab - zone1970.tab Reproducible: Steps to Reproduce:

Created attachment 6356 [details] Screenshot showing the wrong timezones in drakclock
Still valid in 5final (classical round 3). I'll see if I can reproduce the bug with older ISOs (Mageia 4, or 5 alpha/beta) so that we can track down a potential regression.
Summary: drakclock shows some nonsensical time zones => drakclock shows some nonsensical timezonesWhiteboard: (none) => 5final
This is b/c those are listed under /usr/share/zoneinfo/
Source RPM: drakxtools-16.89-1.mga5 => drakxtools-16.89-1.mga5, timezone
(In reply to Thierry Vignaud from comment #3) > This is b/c those are listed under /usr/share/zoneinfo/ Obviously, but it's not clear that they shouldn't be. It is an unfortunate inconsistency I'll grant you, but it still appears to be upstream's intention and not a packaging bug. If I'm wrong about that, patches are welcome :o)

FWIW in manatools i used DateTime::TimeZone maybe we should check if there some are missed or not...

Just out of curiosity... is it that hard to use DateTime::TimeZone in installer?
