Have just come across my desktop trashcan showing stuff in it for trashing but my trashcan in the systray shows no trash. I open the trashcan and see there's no trash :O

What is that systray trash icon? I've never seen that before.

As far as the issues with the Trash icon on the desktop itself, I can confirm this. When you add or delete trash, it does not update the icon until you log out and log back in. This issue is not present on Mageia 4.

Assigning to the maintainer. Thanks for the report.

That trash icon in the systray is a widget i installed. The trash on the desktop does disappear after a reboot. :)

No activity here for more than a year - Still valid?

Is it KDE/Plasma, or what DE?

Which widget does not work?
Is there another that work?

This is KDE. I think this issue is resolved. I delete a file on the desktop and this time it shows in the systray trash can but not on the desktop trash can. This should be fine.
