I uninstalled Vuze and Conky manager from my system and am trying to remove the leftovers using command-line. So i use the locate command and after the command reveals some leftovers i use rm -rf ...... the files/folders are gone but when i try locate ... it again shows the same files/ folders it displayed first before removal.

Thats because the locate db is not realtime, its only updated once a day

if you want to force the update, do:

/etc/cron.daily/mlocate.cron
