MageiaWelcome has a button for "Chat Room" which opens an IRC client. If none is present it attempts to install hexchat. KDE uses konversation which is installed by default but gnome has none and likely most others. We should include hexchat in the default installation for DE's without an IRC client. I don't have a list at the moment but noticed in Gnome. Reproducible: Steps to Reproduce:
I've tested all DE's and it's just gnome and lxde affected. I think previously they would have had xchat installed.
They should indeed. It means task package is to be modified
Checked spec files. Regarding GNOME, empathy is not required but recommended. There is no chat client for LXDE in task package
"MageiaWelcome has a button for "Chat Room" which opens an IRC client. If none is present it attempts to install hexchat." similar issue with Mageia-5-rc-LiveDVD-KDE4-i586-DVD, in that it attempts to install Konversation. also Mageia-5-rc-LiveDVD-KDE4-en-CD, but due to disc capacity, may be impossible to include.
