Testing LXQt 0.9.0-1.mga5 with xscreensaver 5.29-6.mga5, I was not able to unlock the screensaver after I left my laptop idle for a while and it got locked. xscreensaver would not accept my password. AFAICT it's not a CAPS lock issue, nor a keyboard layout, since I have only plain ascii characters, no numbers, no troublesome characters like A, Z, W, Q or Y, that differ between e.g. US, German and French keyboard layout. If it's a keyboard layout issue, then it means that xscreensaver is not using a latin keyboard layout, and that would be quite strange. Reproducible: Steps to Reproduce:
CC'ing Jani and Florian since you're using xscreensaver too for XFCE and LXQt IIRC.

Personally I'm not using xscreensaver. Are you hitting /etc/shadow file permissions bug (bug 14516 and bug 14194)?

Yep, it seems it's yet another /etc/shadow issue: $ ll /etc/shadow ---------- 1 root root 1275 févr. 25 11:05 /etc/shadow I updated to cauldron shortly after mga4 was released, so I probably don't benefit from some packaging changes that fixed this issue in the current Mageia 5 (and hopefully for upgrades). I checked a Mageia 5 beta 3 VM and the permissions of /etc/shadow are correct, so closing as INVALID.
Closing then, it's just my box that drank too much bugs from this long-boiling cauldron :)
