Topmenu is a standalone global menu bar (Mac style) implementation for Gtk+ 2.0 based desktop environments. TopMenu uses XEmbed for exporting menu bars. Requirements and compatibility Currently, TopMenu ships as a panel applet for either Mate 1.8 or Xfce >= 4.8 (Gtk+2 versions only). The Mate applet would be relatively easy to port to Gnome 2. Gtk+2 is the preferred toolkit, albeit Gtk+3 is partially supported. Additionally, plugins are shipped for Qt 4 and some Mozilla apps (Firefox, Thunderbird and Zotero). Note that, except in the Gtk+ 3 case, menu bars will always be rendered using the Gtk+ 2 theme. Reproducible: Steps to Reproduce:

I had a working set of rpms for topmenu-gtk and topmenu-qt. I can import them to svn but first i should ask if we can distribute it with Mageia 5 for this late time... Neverthless, i'm taking this task..

Topmenu currently only fully supports gtk+2 and qt4; Gtk+3 port is a work in progress and not fully functional. Also, Mageia 6 will ship Plasma 5 and topmenu-qt doesn't support qt5. Its Mozilla support is also broken. So, it won't get in official repositories until these issues fixed. I close this bug report for now.
