That has nothing to do with the installer. The issue is with the toolkit and/or the theme. You're using the oxygen-gtk3 theme which is broken with gtk+ 3.14 which is used in mga5. Upstream Oxygen maintainers do not plan to make it compatible with latest gtk+ toolkit, this is why for new users or fresh installations, mga5 will default to Adwaita theme. You need to change theme in gnome control center.

It's duped with a wontfix which isn't good :\ This was a fresh install of mga5 with fresh config.
Reopening as these are both fresh installs from beta 3 pre-release.

CC'ing ns80 too. My understanding is that the bug should be worked around with mageia-lxde-config 0.6.4-1 indeed. What I don't understand though, is why some icons would be missing in LXDE with oxygen-gtk3 when I have all those icons on KDE4 with oxygen-gtk3? Or does it fallback to Adwaita in my case and it is missing in Brian's install?

This should be fixed with oxygen-gtk3-1.4.1-3 : - it now recommends adwaita-icon-theme, - it contains a set of symbolic icons for arrows (oxygen style).
