Description of problem: I downloaded mageia 5 beta 2 and burned to dvd+r. booted from dvd, and selected magiea live. boot hung on blank screen. also tried kernel params (no acpi, no local ioapic, radeon.dpm=1) but none made any difference. Reproducible: Steps to Reproduce:

Does Mageia 5 RC (or final if you have access to QA ISOs or Mageia 5 has been released by the time you can test) work better?
the issue was recreated using the RC on 2015/05/22. the RC was downloaded and used to get the documentation requested.
tmb any idea from the attached information? Or idea about how to produce relevant logs?

problem circumvented. followed the procedure for "Possible boot failure from DVD with some Radeon hardware" (which is to boot from usb instead) and I was able to install mageia 5
