FYI: To add a command xdriver=intel to GRUB line did not help.
The same results are with Mageia-5-beta2-LiveDVD-KDE4-x86_64-DVD (15-Jan-2015 21:53). I can't boot or install from LiveDVD. It helps to add xdriver=vesa only. With MGA5b2 DVD no problem.
