Note, nvidia-current and nvidia304 driver in bug 14787 needs to be pushed at the same time as this due to the prebuilt kmods. Advisory: This kernel update is based on upstream -longterm 3.14.27 and fixes the following security issues: arch/x86/kernel/tls.c in the Thread Local Storage (TLS) implementation in the Linux kernel through 3.18.1 allows local users to bypass the espfix protection mechanism, and consequently makes it easier for local users to bypass the ASLR protection mechanism, via a crafted application that makes a set_thread_area system call and later reads a 16-bit value (CVE-2014-8133). The paravirt_ops_setup function in arch/x86/kernel/kvm.c in the Linux kernel through 3.18 uses an improper paravirt_enabled setting for KVM guest kernels, which makes it easier for guest OS users to bypass the ASLR protection mechanism via a crafted application that reads a 16-bit value (CVE-2014-8134). The do_double_fault function in arch/x86/kernel/traps.c in the Linux kernel through 3.17.4 does not properly handle faults associated with the Stack Segment (SS) segment register, which allows local users to cause a denial of service (panic) via a modify_ldt system call, as demonstrated by sigreturn_32 in the linux-clock-tests test suite (CVE-2014-9090). arch/x86/kernel/entry_64.S in the Linux kernel before 3.17.5 does not properly handle faults associated with the Stack Segment (SS) segment register, which allows local users to gain privileges by triggering an IRET instruction that leads to access to a GS Base address from the wrong space (CVE-2014-9322). For other fixes in this update, see the referenced changelogs. More CVE fixes that I already merged in 3.14.27-1.mga4 (just posted on oss-sec) On x86_64 Linux kernels a malicious user program can do a partial ASLR bypass through TLS base addresses leak when attacking other programs (CVE-2014-9419) Linux kernel built with the iso9660 file system(CONFIG_ISO9660_FS) support is vulnerable to an infinite recursion loop flaw, which could lead to a crash or render a system unresponsive/unusable after a while. This occurs while mounting an iso9660 image. An unprivileged user/process could use this flaw to crash the system resulting in DoS (CVE-2014-9420).

In summary. Start with a blank hard drive and install, then update, M4.1 i586 KDE That gets you to 3.14.24-desktop-1. Enable the update testing repo and update to: 3.14.27-desktop-1. All that works just fine. Then install Virtualbox virtualbox-4.3.20-1. Reboot system then attempt to run client M5 i586 KDE Live-CD. That fails. My official Vbox test system is successfully running virtualbox-4.3.20-1. So it looks like attempting to run virtualbox-4.3.20-1 on 3.14.27-desktop-1 is not working. This is the case for both the i586 and x86_64 versions.
Note also that I have tried several times to install Vbox, on hardware, on a 3.14.24-desktop-1 system were it works, then update that system to 3.14.27-desktop-1 but that fails the same way.
verify that you have the matching "virtualbox-kernel-3.14.27-*" installed and if it is, did you reboot (or do a service virtualbox restart) ? if that didn't help, when running the 3.14.27 kernel, do as root "depmod -a" and reboot... does it work then ?
Back later today.
Mageia 4 i586 server kernel is running fine on my newer PogoLinux workstation at home. Virtualbox runs fine, but I don't yet have a Mageia 5 VM at home.
Something strange going on here. During boot if I manually select ( GRUB2 ) 3.14.27 then Vbox works fine. If I reboot the system 3.14.27 is not selected and it reverts back to 3.14.18 and of course Vbox does not work. I'll see if this is the same on my x86-64 platform later today.

Super job olivier. Lets give this thing another 24-hours then if no one has any issues, or further testing, lets validate it.
This update works fine. Testing complete for mga4 32-bit & 64-bit Validating the update. Could someone from the sysadmin team push this to updates. Thanks
