Description of problem:

When installing updates on December 23, 2014, occurred the following error message:

"There was a problem during installation:
The installation file /usr/share/java/log4j.jar from file log4j-2.0-1.mga5.noarch conflicts with the package file liblog4j-java-0: 1.2.17-5.mga5.noarch"

I uninstalled the log4j-1.2.17-5.mga5.noarch package and its six dependencies

- dom4j-1.6.1-22.mga5.noarch
- jaxen-1.1.6-5.mga5.noarch
- jdom2-2.0.5-3.mga5.noarch
- liblog4j-java-1.2.17-5.mga5.noarch
- log4j-1.2.17-5.mga5.noarch
- ws-jaxme-0.5.2-6.mga5.noarch

After that, the automatic update occurred normally
Note: These packages are the dependencies Freeplane. This conflict does not allow the installation of Freeplane.

Same happened to me. I don't use Freeplane, so I had no ill effects. They were dependencies of Avalon, which was taken off as well. Didn't miss that, either.

Comment 5 Doug Laidlaw 2014-12-28 04:57:10 CET
That is an awfully big download! In my case, avalon went out as a dependency. I don't need it, so I am leaving it off.
