Description of problem: Lack of 3d printing support. Slic3r is common package for building tool paths and helps solve step #2 in the process: 3D printing Steps: 1. Design/manipulate a model (OpenSCAD, Blender, FreeCAD, etc.) 2. Create a build plate and generate toolpath (Slic3r, Cura, Skeinforge, MatterControl) 3. Control the printer itself (PrintRun, Octoprint, MatterControl) Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): Packager's discretion, but there are lots of improved features in 1.1.7 that may be deal breakers for some users. Packages built. I was able to view models and produce gcode with a couple sample slices. I did not perform any in-depth testing, however. slic3r-1.17 admesh-0.98.1-1 perl-ExtUtils-Typemap perl-XML-SAX-ExpatXS perl-Math-ConvexHull-MonotoneChain perl-Wx-GLCanvas
