Description Morgan Leijström 2014-12-18 01:48:51 CET
Currently it spits out a few lines complaining aboput "empty list" and other things looking like a bug itself.

When used without parameter, or wrong parameter it should show same help as shown when issuing

bug --help

Besides, that help could be improved by saying devices can be found by issuing
 fdisk -l or fdisk -l | more

It could also help if it mentions which file systems it can use

actually, the wiki say the command should not need a parameter
https://wiki.mageia.org/en/Triage_guide#Installer-related_bugs

But I think it must be possible to control where it puts the file.

If it could list choices of locations it would be great :)

It never used to require any parameters but fails like this since mga4.

Pretty sure there is another bug about it somewhere too but searching for 'bug' on bugzilla is unhelpful :D

yeah, bug 12263 (tbh, I thought there was at least one more, but I can't find that one)

Can this one be closed as duplicate, or do you want to keep this one for improving the help?

s/the help/bug --help/
Comment 6 Thierry Vignaud 2015-02-18 11:00:36 CET
No parameter is needed.
If no removable device is provided and more than one is available, it displays a menu (modulo bug #14435 I fixed yesterday)
