Description Marja Van Waes 2014-12-13 15:50:55 CET
Adminpanel isn't ready at all yet, I know.

However, it has a _very_useful_ feature for when someone installs mageia without adding an online mirror, and after reboot he finds that he can't start X, but is stuck in rl 3 and where just installing or updating some packages could fix the problem.

You can run "dragora-urpm-sources.pl", the Adminpanel equivalent of "drakrpm-edit-media" in text mode, with ncurses. (or start it after starting Adminpanel with the command "mpan")

For many it'll be easier to add a mirror with that tool, even in a text interface, than to type some-very-long-path-to-a-mirror without errors.

Also for many, it'll be easier to enable the needed updates_testing media with it, then to edit urpm.cfg correctly

s/urpm.cfg/urpmi.cfg/

(Soon the amount of typos I make will drop significantly :-) )

Sorry, I was too fast.

I'll reopen it when this part of adminpanel is ready enough

Marja as said via irc, i think we have to make adminpanel a bit more mature software. I recently removed some drakx common.pm dependency and some features
could crash somewhere because i haven't tested any part of the software
intensively. Of course having a every day user, would have a lot :)

would help a lot (even my keyboard works not so good :D)
