Just ran into this myself with nut-server-2.6.5-15.mga5. The problem is that nut-driver.service starts, but then stops immediately, removing the files it creates in /var/state/ups/ This is caused by /lib/systemd/system/nut-driver.service having the line StopWhenUnneeded=yes Changing the value from yes to no fixes the problem, once the rest of the nut configuration has been correctly setup. In ups.conf I have ... [nutdev1] driver = "usbhid-ups" port = "auto" In upsd.conf I have ... LISTEN 127.0.0.1 3493 (ipv6 doesn't work here, so I have that line commented out). In upsd.users I have ... [admin] password = munged actions = SET instcmds = ALL [upsmon] password = munged upsmon master I can then use commands such as "upsc nutdev1".
