Description of problem:
When starting up an embedded mysql server in a debug session, gdb crashes giving this error:
internal-error: switch_back_to_stepped_thread: Assertion `!schedlock_applies (1)' failed.

Upstream is aware of and has fixed this bug in gdb 7.8.1 as stated in this BR:
