Heheh, all I had to do was open a bug report.  :(

Ran urpmi.update -a to get the media_info/20141114-133???-synthesis.hdlist.cz update then urpmi gsmartcontrol 

and it installs without problem.

Status: UNCONFIRMED => RESOLVED
Resolution: (none) => FIXED
