(In reply to comment #1) > aaaaa .............. > > does anybody care for this or what..... I'm afraid we are short on packagers :( the link doesn't work atm, nor does http://pcsx2.net/downloads.php http://code.google.com/p/pcsx2/wiki/CompilationGuideForLinux does work atm.

Just a status update on this one. Currently PCSX2 does not support 64bit instructions correctly, so I refrained from spending too much time packaging a 32bit only application. The development is going on fine currently and a 64bit version might arrive soon. IIRC, there was also nonfree content to sort out. We'll need to get rid of it because emulators go in tainted by convention, and we have no nonfree+tainted.
Any update? Maybe blogdrake.net will help you to rebuild that for MGA5: http://ftp.blogdrake.net/mageia/mageia4/SRPMS/pcsx2-1.2.2-1bdk.mga4.src.rpm

I finally got around to packaging this thanks to a ROSA SRPM and to upstream's recent 1.4.0 release that simplify things a lot for packagers and Linux users \o/ Spec file: http://svnweb.mageia.org/packages/cauldron/pcsx2/current/SPECS/pcsx2.spec?view=markup Mageia App DB: http://madb.mageia.org/package/show/name/pcsx2/release/cauldron (might need a few hours to show up) Only available in 32-bit for now, 64-bit support is still very highly experimental according to upstream.
