On real hardware. Description of problem: I'm having a lot of problems getting k9copy to rip a DVD. I'm using the exact same process on M4 that easily works and creates a single mp4 file. Following the same process on M5 gets mixed and unsucessful results. Today the error message is: "Can't open disc /dev/sr0!" In M4 Using VLC Insert DVD in drive. VLC -> Media Pull down -> Open Disc -> select DVD & Disc device /dev/sr0 DVD plays normally In M4 Using k9copy Create /home/wilcal/mydvd insert DVD in drive open k9copy designate source as the DVD drive ( Next ) select Rip and encode DVD -> to /home/wilcal/mydvd.mp4 ( Next ) select Title 1 ( Next ) select first audio track ( Next ) set Encoder to ffmpeg & Codec Copy ( Finish ) k9copy will now create a single mydvd.mp4 file of the DVD In M5 Using VLC Insert DVD in drive. VLC -> Media Pull down -> Open Disc -> select DVD & Disc device /dev/sr0 DVD plays normally In M5 Using k9copy Create /home/wilcal/mydvd insert DVD in drive open k9copy designate source as the DVD drive ( next ) "Can't open disc /dev/sr0!" message displayed Reproducible: Steps to Reproduce:

It seems we don't have latest release of k9copy so it need to build it to Mga5. It now have new developer so it's in active project again. :) http://k9copy-reloaded.sourceforge.net/#Download

Still don't work. I think k9copy is the only app on Mageia that can crack a DVD. It works on M4.1.
@ Wilcal Is this bug still valid? If so: in both cauldron and Mageia 5?
