Description Carolyn Rowse 2014-10-28 20:36:15 CET
Description of problem:

Testing the dual DVD ISO in Virtualbox, I went into MCC and made sure the Core, Nonfree and Tainted media were selected and updated including backports. I then went into Install & Remove Software but there was only a very restricted list of packages available to download, both in the "With GUI" and the "All" lists.

Examples:

Office - only one package and that's for Finnish invoicing software, no word processor or anything like that

Graphics - very few packages, no GIMP or similar, only one image viewer (xv)

Games - very few

Shells - not the usual choice

Publishing - only t1utils

please attach the file /etc/urpmi/urpmi.cfg
Comment 2 Anne Nicolas 2014-10-29 08:53:45 CET
It depends on the way you finalized the installation. If you choose not to update your system then installation media is limited to the iso. Dual iso content is limited? This may explain this limited choice
Comment 3 Carolyn Rowse 2014-10-30 19:27:16 CET
I couldn't remember whether I chose to update during installation or not, so I started again in a new VM and made sure I did choose that, and it all looks fine now.
