Description AL13N 2014-10-28 09:47:49 CET
Steps to Reproduce:
1. open firefox (31.2 as of writing)
2. go to http://be.mirror.eurid.eu/scientific/6.5/x86_64/os/
3. see a space between be.mirror and eurid.eu
4. click in the url bar (at the end)
5. the url bar now only shows "be.mirror" and a bunch of spaces (selecting and copy paste shows the text is still in there)

FF31.2 on macOSX (from a friend) doesn't show this problem with this site.

see the thread in the discuss ml.

"Does that happen for all URLs?
Also, what's the URL in your example where a part is invisible?
Did you restart firefox since you installed the update?

Apart from that, did you try to run firefox in safe mode (disables all addons and plugins) via firefox -safe-mode ?"

and

"You can try to open about:config and search for parameter gfx.xrender.enabled - change it to false and restart Firefox."

and you could try the upstream tarball

Comment 2 Rémi Verschelde 2014-12-06 21:41:47 CET
There seems to be a workaround, quoting Sander from the discuss ML:

> You can try to open about:config and search for parameter gfx.xrender.enabled
> Change it to false and restart Firefox.

Comment 3 Marja Van Waes 2015-03-31 16:05:35 CEST
Mageia 3 changed to end-of-life (EOL) status 4 months ago.
http://blog.mageia.org/en/2014/11/26/lets-say-goodbye-to-mageia-3/

Mageia 3 is no longer maintained, which means that it will not receive any further security or bug fix updates. As a result we are closing this bug.

If you can reproduce this bug against a currently maintained version of Mageia
please feel free to click on "Version" change it against that version of Mageia
and reopen this bug.

Thank you for reporting this bug and we are sorry it could not be fixed.
