Description Reinout van Schouwen 2014-10-21 22:54:41 CEST
Description of problem:
I have a new PC with MSI A78m-e45 motherboard and AMD A8-6600k HD8570d APU.
When booting the alpha2 Gnome live ISO from USB, the system reboots at the point where it shows the language selection dialog.

I'd like to help debug this but where to start? There is no other OS installed.

Well, I found a related Ubuntu bug here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1372169

Giving the radeon.dpm=0 kernel option lets me continue the installation process.

After upgrading packages, things seem stable with kernel 3.17.1 (using the radeon driver, not fglrx).
