Every so often (a few times per hour) my mouse will momentarily "freeze".
The following messages appear in syslog, indicating that the mouse
has disconnected and then immediately reconnected:

The problem seems to have started after a recent kernel update.

Problem turned out to be a fault in the mouse: fortunately it was still in warrenty (3 years warrenty) and Logitech replaced it with a new G402.
