I have same problem on 32-bit Mageia-5A2 on Toshiba laptop. I saw this, too, on two 64bits cauldrons so far, but on both: /usr/lib64/libsamplerate.so.0 is present (and links to /usr/lib64/libsamplerate.so.0.1.8 ) The source of vlc didn't change, and I don't see how the changes to the spec file could cause this Anyway, added vlc to the skip list for now. cc'ing the last two committers and the vlc maintainer.

According to discussions on the dev mailing list, it's most likely an issue linked with the recent changes to RPM and our build system.

Issue fixed by a rebuild of libsamplerate following pterjan's RPM fix.
