Description Samuel Verschelde 2011-05-24 13:09:55 CEST
Description of problem:

After autologin, gajim uses 100% of one of my CPU cores. gajim -v shows it loops with the following message :

(I) gajim.c.x.idlequeue read timeout removed for fd 27

It looks like the following bug in fedora https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=649986 (the workaround consisting of disconnecting then reconnecting works) which relates to upstream bug http://trac.gajim.org/ticket/5991 which has a patch and will be fixed in 0.14.2

Patch committed, and a freeze push request has been posted to the -dev ML.

Please test and close the report if it's fixed.
Comment 2 Samuel Verschelde 2011-05-25 09:30:48 CEST
I rebuilt the package from SVN and tested it : it fixes the issue.

Assigning to misc for decision about push or delivery as an update.

As I said, as we do have a tester, a clean fix, a clean way to test etc, I would prefer to keep this as a testbed for update
Comment 4 John Balcaen 2011-05-25 12:04:19 CEST
Well the package seems to have been pushed on mageia so i'm closing it.
