Testing Mageia5 Classic pre-release (at least up to Alpha2) on real x64 hardware.
The LXDE desktop has *two* home directory desktop icons: one for PCManFM, the other for Dolphin. This is confusing; and in the slim context, the latter seems inappropriate.

This package also corrects several other problems (cf. new patches)

Updated script to hide/show dolphin desktop file

Hi,

The execution right was lost with the first version of the script, which was causing a warning when logging again on KDE. This new version corrects the problem.

installed Mageia-4.1-LiveDVD-KDE4-i586-DVD.iso,
installed all new LXDE pkgs with http://svnweb.mageia.org/packages/cauldron/lxde-common/current/,
bug is present.

Hi,

There are two possibilities:

1) the desktop-file-utils RPM is not installed (I forgot to add requirement for this package on lxde-common package, sorry)

2) the file "$XDG_CONFIG_HOME/user-dirs.dirs" does not exist (the attached hide-desktop-file.sh script takes care of this situation, solution borrowed to startlxde script from lxde-common package)

Nicolas, Hello,

No, desktop-file-utils is installed and file "$XDG_CONFIG_HOME/user-dirs.dirs" exists.
It's problem with name "Desktop" for non-English locales. For example, for Russian "Desktop" is "РабоÑий ÑÑол" (two words and space between words).

Will you test new version for hide-desktop-file.sh?

I did not see the problem before because French translation for "Desktop" is only one word: "Bureau" :-(

What is about upstream? It's workaround, but it's upstream bug when we can see file with "OnlyShowIn=KDE" on the Desktop in LXDE.

This bug is opened for testing with the latest ISO and with other DEs together with LXDE.

I tested with LXDE, MATE, KDE, which were installed together. This bug was fixed.

Status: NEW => RESOLVED
Resolution: (none) => FIXED
