glusterfsd doesn't start

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Install glusterfs-server
2.4/4: glusterfs-server      #########################################################################################################
glusterfsd.service is not a native service, redirecting to /sbin/chkconfig.
Executing /sbin/chkconfig --no-reload --no-redirect glusterfsd on

3.# service glusterfsd status
glusterfsd.service - LSB: gluster server
   Loaded: loaded (/etc/rc.d/init.d/glusterfsd)
   Active: failed (Result: exit-code) since Wed 2014-09-03 11:13:24 MST; 29min ago

It reports, the service is already running, but there is no pid file nor a service bee seen.
Uninstalling the package reports this error:
removing glusterfs-server-3.4.1-1.mga4.x86_64
                                 #################################################################################warning: file /etc/rc.d/init.d/glusterfsd: remove failed: No such file or directory


This looks like a mix of systemd with init
