Description of problem:
Boot is failed if installer is the Mageia-5-alpha2-x86_64-DVD.iso

The computer claim:

generating "/run/initram/rdsosreport.txt" 
You might want to save "/run/initram/rdsosreport.txt" to a USB stick or /boot after mounting them
and attach it to a bug report.

To get more debug information in the report, reboot with "rd.debug"
added to the kernel command line.

- A new e2fsprogs  1.42.12-2.mga5 come (2014/08/30).

# dracut --force
make a new initrd 
and then boot is good. ( solved for my computers )

tring on 2 computers , DVD and USB key.
( but DVD live gnome and kde : boot ok)

Assigning to you for now Thierry. IIUC the last revision that you pushed of e2fsprogs would have fixed the bug, but we'll have to make sure when testing it in Mageia 5 beta1's installer in a couple of weeks.

Or just test with boot.iso, as that will use latest stage2 + e2fsprogs

that has nothing to do with installer but with missing versionated requires which have probably ended in:
- updated e2fsprog
- updated kernel
  => dracut generates an initrd with new e2fsprogs but old lib64ext2fs2
- updated lib64ext2fs2
